Pioneer Outdoor Learning Area

Pioneer has had the good fortune to have King’s Fork sophomore Alexis Alston, who is a Senior Girl Scout with troop 357 adopt our school for her Gold Award, which is the highest award a Girl Scout can achieve. Alexis worked with Mrs. Barnes, our Guidance Counselor and Mrs. Langston, our Garden Club chair to turn the garden space into the Pioneer Outdoor Learning Area.

Please visit the blog of the transformation. Staff and students are excited to use this new learning area.

Complimentary Early Drop-off Program Ending

Beginning in the 2018-19 school year, the complimentary Early Drop-off program will no longer be offered in SPS elementary schools. We realize that many of you have relied on this service; therefore, we will continue the complimentary program this school year for previously enrolled families as they transition to other childcare arrangements for the 2018-19 school year.

Please note, we will not be admitting new families this school year.

If you were registered last year, you may reapply for the complimentary Early Drop-off program again this school year. Spaces are limited and admission to the program will be based on need due to parent/guardian work schedule.

Currently enrolled families who are interested in continuing with the program should submit an application no later than August 18, 2017 and include verification that early morning drop-off is needed due to parent work schedules.  The application is available in the school office.
